Our Story
How we begun...
The Fashion Design Technology Department was established 111 2003 with thirty-two (32) students. The first Teacher and Head of Department was Madam Abane Aduko Christiana. She was later joined by Madam Kpan Josephine and Sr. Vicentia SSPS in 2004. The department was established to offer theoretical and practical training in Fashion Design Technology to students to enable them acquire the needed skills to set up and own a viable businesses that fit into the middle and higher level manpower needs of the fashion industry. Since its establishment, the department has produced a lot of graduatcs who are doing well in private businesses and other areas of work.
What You Can Study
The following programmes are currently run in the department:
Intermcdiate Fashion Design Technology (3 Years) - Full Time
Advance Fashion and Design (2 Years)- Part Time
Mission Statement
Promote creativity and innovativeness
The mission of the Department is to offer theoretical and practical training in Fashion and Design Technology to students to enable them acquire the neeckd skills to set up and own viable businesses that fits into the middle and higher level man power needs of the fashion industry.
Objectives
The objectives of the department are to train students to:
acquire the requisite skills, knowledge and attitudes to pave way for employment and for further studies in technical and vocational education and training
acquire the teclmiques for solving problcms in fashion
develop positive attitudes towards application of practical ski lis, safe use of tools, judicious use of materials and time in the workshop and to take proper care of and maintenance of tools and equipments
