Our Story

How it all begun...

The Department was established in 2003 with one permanent teacher and two students, the department at then had a workshop which could host 40 students. The department since has seen a lot of progress and increase in enrolment of students and teachers. The current total population in the department is fifty-six (56), for both TVET I and TVET 2, These comprise of twenty(20) girls and thirty-six(36) boys respectively. The department has two (2) permanent teachers.

Why?

Transform and improve quality of life through electronics engineering technology

The study of electronics engineering technology is intended to provide young people with the requisite employable skills as a predisposition to technological pursuits at the advance levels. The programme therefore offers the trainees the chance to acquire valuable technical and vocational skils that will open up a wide range of opportunities for productive work.

Objectives

The objectives of the department are to train students to:

acquire the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes in electronics engineering.

develop positive attitude towards application of practical skills, safe use of tools, judicious use of materials and time in electronics not excluding proper care and maintenance of tools and equipments.
