Our Story
How it all begun...
The Building Construction Technology Department was established in 1967 with eighteen (18) students that started the academic work. Mr. Herman Zanu was the first Teacher and Head of the Department. The Department, since its inception has produced numerous graduates who are performing well in the industries, teaching field and other important areas of work.
What You Can Study
The following programmes are currently run in the department:
lntermediate Building Construction Technology (3 Year) - Full Time
Advance Block-laying and Concreting {Two Years) - Part time

Promote creativity and innovativeness in the individual
The mission of the Department is to offer theoretical and practical training in building construction Technology to students to assist them acquire the needed skills, knowledge and attitudes to pave way for employment as well as set up and own viable businesses that fit into the middle and higher level manpower needs of the building industry.
Objectives
The objectives of the department are to train students to:
acquire the requisite skills, knowledge and attitudes to pave way for employment and for further studies in technical and vocational education and training
become creative and innovative through problem solving
develop positive attitudes towards application of practical skills, safe use of tools, judicious use of materials and time in the workshop and to take proper care of and maintenance of tools and equipments
